**Please get in touch via email to express your interest for Term 2 ** Skypuppy School classes are all about creating ongoing opportunities to learn and have fun together. We know good training should be motivating and play underpins everything we do - Because when training feels like a game, everyone wins! This 4-week beginner course is perfect for owners looking to take the next step after puppy preschool. It is ideally suited to dogs aged 5-12 months. Using play, rewards, and clear communication, you’ll learn how to keep your dog focused, motivated, and eager to learn. Classes run once a week over 4 weeks, and are held in the same location. You'll gain a deeper understanding of how your dog learns and how to effectively motivate them. Foundation concepts covered: How to get your puppy to focus on you, even with distractions. Leash handling skills Teach your puppy to come when called, every time. Build impulse control with a solid "stay" and clear release cue. Introduce "Middle" and "Down" cues Creating an Off-Switch: Strategies to help your dog relax and settle. What’s Next? Skypuppy classes are built around the concept of 'Social Responsibility', which means your dog can behave safely and politely in everyday situations. This includes staying calm around distractions, showing good manners, and being well-controlled both on and off leash. It’s all about ensuring your dog is confident, comfortable, and well-adjusted in real-world environments. After completing this course, you’ll gain access to Skypuppy School’s ongoing casual classes, where you can continue to grow your puppy’s skills and connect with a community of dog-loving enthusiasts. Important Notes: No Makeup Classes: Missed sessions cannot be rescheduled and there is no refund or make-up lesson for missed classes.
