Do you need your dog to pay more attention to you? To walk without pulling you around and to stay when asked? Do you need support to help you better understand why your dog behaves the way they do? Dogs don’t arrive with us knowing the key skills needed to thrive with their human families. Whilst dogs have evolved to live with us over many, many years, we can’t discount the fact they were once wild scavengers and still enjoy doing normal dog things like chasing, chewing, digging, barking and jumping! But most of all playing!! Family Dog Foundations will help you to live happily with your pet dog. We will look at walking nicely on a loose lead, teach a sit, drop and settle, including the types of situations you might use each and why, and that age old challenge of a dog that happily comes back when called. As well as teaching these social responsibility skills, Kylie and Amy will show you how to develop a happy, confident and fun partnership through clear and thoughtful communication. With two experienced teachers and plenty of personalised attention, this unique class is perfect if you're looking to strengthen your bond with your dog. Limited to 6 dogs, class runs for 6 weeks each Saturday at The Canine Campus in Hume. **A bonus make-up class will be run on 2nd March given our second class does fall on the long weekend. Dogs over 8 months of age may be considered at the trainer's discretion. PLEASE NOTE: This class is not suited for dogs who bark and pull on lead excessively when close to other dogs. If you do need help with aggressive lunging, barking or super big emotions, please get in touch to discuss your individual needs.
Modifications to bookings: There are no make-up sessions for missed classes. Please be sure you or a family member can attend each session. There is no refund for missed sessions. We acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances, such as illness, may necessitate cancellations. In such cases, Kylie will make an effort to credit and reschedule your booking, pending the trainer's approval. Refunds will be considered on an individual basis or may be provided as an alternative to rescheduling if training is canceled due to weather conditions.
