Service Description

Kindy K9s is perfect for pups aged 8 weeks - 16 weeks at the time of starting class. A BIG emphasis is placed on movement and play, as well as exposing the puppies to different sensory stimuli (think sounds, things that move, things that look funny, different people, smells and textures). What you and your puppy will learn over the 6 weeks: - Engagement games that will keep your puppy's attention on you. - How to help build your pup’s bravery when faced with new things. - Fun tricks like spin, middle, hand targets, paws up and going to a place. - How to help you puppy find their off switch and relax. - Handling exercises and body awareness activities. - How to help your puppy feel ok about wearing collars, harnesses and walking on lead. - Leash skills and greeting people calmly. - Recall foundations. - The importance of play and biological fulfilment. - How to deal with common puppy problems, like jumping, toileting, biting and barking. - Puppy developmental stages and what to expect during your pup's first year. Run at The Canine Campus, a purpose designed private indoor venue at Hume on Saturday mornings. Numbers are limited to keep classes small (5 dogs maximum). PLEASE NOTE: Families are welcome but children under 10 years old MUST be accompanied by another adult who is not handling your dog. Your teacher Kylie is a certified FDM - Family Dog Mediator, and has completed the Puppy Lab Certificate by the School Of Canine Science. She has proven experience in helping families raise confident, happy dogs from puppyhood and through the teenage years. Kylie is currently raising her own puppy too - a 9 month old terrier, koolie whippet mix!

Cancellation Policy

Rescheduling or cancellations: Payments for all casual classes are non-refundable; however may be used as a credit towards other services if you notify Kylie before class that you aren't attending. To cancel sessions, please give at least 24 hours notice. Where possible Kylie will credit and reschedule your booking (subject to trainer's discretion). Refunds may be issued on a case-by-case basis; or offered in place of rescheduling if training is cancelled due to weather conditions. A refund is not given for individual missed sessions from 5 week programs; however, training notes and videos can be provided on request.
