Would you like to be able to trust your dog more in every day situations to make good choices? What about having them listen to you while distractions are all around? The idea of Social Responsibility is that ALL dogs can be trained and handled in a responsible way. "The mission of GRC Dogsports is to provide PEOPLE with the motivation to give their dogs the training they need to thrive in this world, and a healthy place to put all of their natural drives." This group class is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills needed to navigate real-world scenarios, focusing specifically on the requirements of the SR1 Test from GRC Dogsports. GRC puts emphasis on the Relationship (R) with the handler and the dog's self-Control (C). The best part? It's for EVERY person and EVERY dog! The class spans 5 consecutive Saturdays, with an additional 6th class dedicated to a mock SR1 test. To enrol in this class, prior training with Skypuppy School is a prerequisite. Participants are expected to have established reward markers with their dogs and should feel at ease working in a group class setting. It is the ideal next class to build upon the foundational skills and concepts learned in our Family Dog Foundations course. What you will learn: Rules of SR1 Test. Improve your Loose Lead Walking and practise greeting people politely. Putting Middle, Down and Front on verbal cues and practical applications of these life skills. e.g Teach your dog to hold a 2 minute down with distractions. How to teach your dog 'calm liberty', where they have the freedom to make great choices without needing to be told what to do. Please email to express your interest in joining this class.
