Canine Hoopers is an inclusive dog sport that uses obstacles like hoops, barrels, and tunnels. Because there are no jumps, it is easy on the joints and ideal for dogs of all ages from high-energy puppies to seniors who love having a "job" to do. In this beginner-level class, dogs work off-lead one at a time in the training yard. You will learn the fundamental skills needed to guide your dog through a flowing course with confidence. 🟡 Obstacle Focus: Build your dog's confidence to go through hoops and tunnels and around barrels. 🟡 Forward Focus: Teach your dog to look ahead to the next obstacle rather than back at you for treats. 🟡 The Start-Line Stay: Develop a steady "wait" so you can get into position before starting a course. 🟡 Body Language: Learn how simple hand and shoulder cues impact and guide your dog. 🟡 Off-Lead Reliability: Strengthen your dog’s focus and listening skills while working without a leash. The Details 🟡 When: Sundays at 7:00 PM 🟡 Location: Canberra Dog Hub (138 Parkwood Rd, Holt) 🟡 Duration: 3-Week Block 🟡 Strictly limited to 3 spots for personalised coaching.
