Service Description

Family Dog Foundations will teach you how to motivate your dog to keep their attention on you when you need it. You will learn how to use rewards thoughtfully to teach your dog the key life skills you need them to have - how to walk nicely on lead, come when called and stay when asked. This class will show you how to develop a communication system using clear markers and windows of opportunity. June classes will run 9:30am Saturday mornings for 5 weeks, starting June 1st. NOTE there is no class on the 8th June (Long Weekend) or the 15th June. - Location is at The Canine Campus in Hume. - Limited numbers to allow for individual coaching and support. This class is aimed at beginners and is suitable for dogs from 5 - 18 months. It is a great follow up to puppy school. Covered in Family Dog Foundations: - Place training - Down Stay - Walking on lead - Come when called - Fun tricks and games to keep your dog happy, build confidence and learn emotional control. - Windows of opportunity - what they are and why you need them! PLEASE NOTE: Makeup lessons are not available for any missed classes. Not suited for dogs who bark and pull on lead excessively when close to other dogs. DO NOT take this class if your dog is NERVOUS, or AGGRESSIVE with new people or new dogs! If you do need help with super big emotions, please get in touch to discuss your individual needs.

Cancellation Policy

Modifications to bookings: There are no make-up sessions for missed classes. Please be sure you or a family member can attend each session. There is no refund for missed sessions. We acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances, such as illness, may necessitate cancellations. In such cases, Kylie will make an effort to credit and reschedule your booking, pending the trainer's approval. Refunds will be considered on an individual basis or may be provided as an alternative to rescheduling if training is canceled due to weather conditions.
