Service Description

Primary Connections is a four-week course designed to turn your dog into a willing training partner. We meet once a week in person, and you will receive digital handouts and resources after each class to guide your home practice. This is a small-group class with a maximum of 5 dogs. Location & Schedule Note: Please note the alternating locations for this intake: - Weeks 1, 2 & 4: The Canine Campus, Hume. - Weeks 3: Queanbeyan Park. Holiday Note: Week 2 falls on the Canberra Day Long Weekend; please ensure you are available to attend before booking. Is this class right for you? This Level 1 course is designed for beginners or those needing a reset. It is ideal for: - Puppy Preschool graduates looking for the next step. - Adolescent dogs struggling with focus and distractions. - Older dogs that need a refresh of their foundation skills. What we cover: - Clear Communication: Learn how to use signals your dog actually understands by being consistent with your cues and expectations. - Motivation through Play: Use play and natural instincts to build a dog that wants to work with you. - Arousal Control: Teach your dog how to regulate their energy and find their "off-switch." - Recall Foundations: Train the fundamental steps for a reliable comeback when called. 🐾 All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations, free from injury, and physically well enough to participate. 🐾 If your dog struggles significantly with reactivity (barking/lunging) on lead, please contact me before booking so we can ensure this is the right environment for them. 🐾 Dog-dog interactions are strictly managed. On-leash greetings are not permitted to ensure every dog feels safe. Family members are welcome but children must not approach other dogs without permission. 🐾 Please check your calendar carefully, as missed classes cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
